Dyscalculia- know the early signs in your child

Symptoms of Dyscalculia, child disordersDyscalculia is the inability of a child to learn the basic fundamentals of mathematics and has the same symptoms as dyslexia. In fact in most cases a dyslexic child also has dyscalculia. These are some of the symptoms that you should look for in your child and take adequate measure if you think he suffers discalculia.
You should keep a look on how your child handles the basic principles of mathematics such as even and odd numbers, multiplications, additions and divisions. If your child cannot copy down numbers in the correct order, has difficulty in understanding shapes such as triangles, rectangles, squares etc., is not able to tell the time from an analogue clock and cannot understand fractions, there is a possibility that your child is suffering from Dyscalculia. Dyscalculia invokes a sense of low esteem in a child and can lead to a gradual downfall of his confidence and needs your immediate attention.
