Can coffee be allergic?

allergy, health careWell it may seem very surprising as well as odd, but some people do complain about an allergy to coffee. Allergy to coffee doesn’t occur only if you drink coffee but even people coming in contact with the coffee beans suffer from allergy. The caffeine content in coffee is the most common reason behind the occurrence of the allergy. Caffeine is nothing but a powerful natural anti oxidant which is synthesized chemically to be used for commercial purposes.
A person who is allergic to coffee will have swollen lips or tongue, rashes and even wheezing on consuming coffee. Even digestive problems like stomach upset and acidity are likely to occur. At the certain times, when an allergic person’s skin comes in contact with coffee beans, left over coffee or any cosmetic product containing coffee, then it may give rise to tremendous irritation of the skin.
